The chain's rollers have two different diameters, so the pallet moves at a multiple of chain speed (commonly 2:1 or 3:1), raising throughput and allowing accumulation at stations.
Can the line be built as a loop with pallet return?
Yes — over/under return or a horizontal loop, with lift-and-transfer units for automatic pallet circulation.
How is station pitch determined?
From product and pallet size and the working space each operator needs, typically 600–2400 mm, combined with takt time to set the number of stations.
