HOW IT COMPARES
Flat belts suit unit loads, but bulk spills off the sides; troughing idlers form the belt into a U for more capacity and less spillage. Beyond about 30° or for metered pockets use a cleated belt; corrosive chemicals need an acid/alkali-resistant belt.

How do I choose a 30°, 35° or 45° trough angle?
A deeper trough carries more and spills less but needs a more flexible belt. Most bulk duties use 30–35°; 45° maximises capacity.
What is the maximum incline?
Up to 30°, depending on how free-flowing the material is — free-flowing granules need less; steeper runs use a cleated sidewall belt.
How is capacity calculated?
From belt width, trough angle, belt speed and bulk density. Give us the material, tonnes per hour and distance and we will size the belt and motor.
What is the typical lead time?
